St John the Baptist, Dethick, Derbyshire

Dethick church has not a single gravestone. Not one. Which was disappointing. The church was locked but the key was easily had from the dairy at the farm next door. The gentleman there was very helpful. His mother was the organist at the church for 65 years and there is a nice new slate memorial to her at the back of the church.

The church was built in the 13th century as the private chapel for Dethick Manor.
