St Leonard, Shirland, Alfreton, Derbyshire

13/01/2016: (Locked). A sparse churchyard with a few of the remaining stones lying damaged. A few headstones are lying flat - face down. Everything feels shabby and unloved. Stone for Thomas Hearnshaw - surname starts in Roman, then overcut in italic. Unusually fine stone for Martha Wharton. Beautiful design, well cut.
